These are a few of the everyday tricks I use. I may add more another time.
Basics that everyone should know:
ctrl + c = copy highlighted text
ctrl + x = cut highlighted text
ctrl+ v = paste from clipboard
Learn these ones when typing:
ctrl + arrow keys = skips the cursor from word to word, instead of letter to letter - and if you hold SHIFT too, it highlights the words
home, end, shift + home, shift + end = always use this to skip to the start (home) or end of a sentance - again, shift highlights it
Browsing (these work on most browsers):
Backspace (on no text box) = back, but use the following instead:
alt + left arrow = back
alt + forward arrow = forward
alt + home = home
alt + d = move cursor to the address bar ----- VERY USEFUL
ctrl + click a link OR middle click a link = opens link in new tab
ctrl + t = opens a blank new tab
ctrl + n = opens a new browser window
Others:
Win key + d = show desktop
Win key + m = minimize all windows
Win key + Pause/Break = show system properties
Win key + r = Run
Win key + e = open my computer ---------- GREAT
alt + d = also works in folders, to move cursor to address bar
alt + tab = switch between windows
alt + shift + tab = reverse switching between windows
VISTA ONLY:
Win key & a number - the number corresponds to your "QUICK LAUNCH" - these are the icons next to the start menu button. IE, normally Win key + 3 opens your Internet Explorer or Browser.
Win key + tab = switch between windows in a fancy way. Only works with Vista version that have the Aero skin (Home premium & above). |

That doesn't do anything...
Some extra Win 7 tips:
Win key + p = Presentation options, i.e. switch to another monitor/projector
Win key + left arrow/right arrow/up arrow = Move current window to relative part of the screen (left, right, up).
Win key + Shift + left arrow/right arrow = Move windows to other monitors |
